A few cities/protesters were invited to Clearwater to protest this last weekend. I was lucky enough to get to go
First protest: It was a maiden voyage black tie affair at the Ft Harrison. It
seems the co$ members can't really afford black tie stuff and some
people showed up in jeans even.
Two protesters were shoved.
Both shoves were girls pushing the guys. Maybe they felt they could get
away with it due to the gender differences. Demos got shoved towards
traffic. I had my camera not on and well not pointed down that way
anyway. I failed. The cop came over and talked to him and then went
and yelled at cos security. The next time sparrow was pushed by yes a
girl again. I've not seen the tape, but part of it was not on camera
since she asked him to turn it off and talk. The cop was pissed this
time. He totally tore into the sci for all their crap. Cos security
tried to tell the cop that he could not be responsible for the actions
of his "parishioners". CWA repeated the word parishioners back and the cop
said pretty much that's what they call them lol. We stayed until they
got started and closed the doors.
We were flipped off, yelled at
to take off our masks. I didn't have one on and several lifted their
masks thus confusing the the yellers. Another one yelled get a life
and sparrow had the best response "I have more of a life than Lisa
McPherson". No matter what was yelled at us the out pouring of
support was outstanding. We had tons of honks and waves.
When we were leaving we had 2 sea org change direction and head the same way
we were. 2 other sea org yelled across the street "hey guys its this
way" but our "escorts" just waived them off and kept with us. We kept
our camera out and obvious and nothing happened. We all went out and
ate sea food of course.
The next day was a protest tour of CW.
The CW anons set up an informative display at the city hall parking lot
that featured the recent articles about scientology. AMA put a lot of
work into it. We went around the Ft. Harrison again, saw were the LMT
building was, saw lots of deserted buildings in downtown cw that no one
wanted to rent, viewed were the sea org live, stood outs side the room
Lisa was in and Kyle died in. That part was sad. Demos cleaned up Lisa's
brick in gaslight alley and that was good. We were sort of followed around, but not
really. The flag buses and vans would try to re-route around us.
That day wrapped up with us greeting the people leaving the beach. We had
lots of horn honks and waves. We talked to a few people about what is
going sci and etc. I even talked to a 7 year old girl about
scientology and what was wrong with it. I also did my best to run into
as many bicycles as I could lol Maybe its best ATL doesn't walk
around as much at protests. During the protest we took time out to eat
yummy ice cream cake and pizza.
We went to the beach, and got blasted by the sand from a really bad storm that came in. 612, myself, and demos hide behinde a body board and a few others hid behind towels or
ran to cars for shelter. After we survived the sand blasting we had
some yummy hot dogs cooked by CWA and goofed around a bit on a
playground from hell.
A picture of an epic seaside org is coming soon.
